On May 22, students of the 2022/03 group "Turner. Locksmith for the repair of KTZ" led by their leaders visited an interesting excursion to the historical center of the city.
An overview of antiquities on Svyato-Nikolaevskaya Street, in particular:
- part of the foundation of the city's first stone church in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, built in 1862 and the remains of the floor of the first wooden church from 1761;
- a house that was built in 1898 for the priest of the St. Nicholas Church and has survived to this day in unchanged condition - part of the historical heritage of our city. Nowadays, this building houses the St. Nicholas Church of the Ukrainian Patriarchate;
a memorial - a mass grave in which 68 Soviet soldiers who died on February 22, 1944 during the battles for the central part of Kryvyi
- Rih are buried;
- the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
At the end of the excursion, the students walked along Poshtov Avenue to the Heroes' Memorial "Cubes of Memory", where they immortalized the memory of the fallen Heroes of the Russian-Ukrainian War by laying flowers.
